Classic Vegan Burger with Red Bean and Beetroot

how to make

  • Bring apple cider vinegar, sugar, salt and pepper to boil
  • Pour over finely sliced red onions and leave to marinate for 10 minutes
  • In a pan, fry chopped red onion and garlic in olive oil
  • Roughly blend beetroot and red beans
  • Mix with all of the patty’s ingredients
  • Form a patty
  • Heat 1 tbsp. olive oil in pan and cook patty for 3-4 minutes on each side
  • Top with slice of Nurishh Cheddar Style Slices
  • Toast the bun

finishing touches

  • Spread layer of mustard on bottom bun and add lettuce, patty, tomato, pickle and pickled onions
  • Add ketchup to top half of bun and close burger
  • Serve and enjoy

  • 1/2 red onion, finely sliced
  • 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
  • 1/8 cup sugar
  • Salt and pepper to taste

  • 1/2 clove garlic, chopped

  • 1 cup of canned red beans, cooked and drained
  • 1/2 tsp. nutritional yeast
  • 1/2 tsp. smoked paprika
  • 1 tbsp. flour
  • 1 patty

  • 1 burger bun
  • 1 tsp. mild mustard
  • 2 lettuce leaves
  • 1 slice tomato
  • 1 slice of bread and butter pickle
  • 1 tsp. ketchup
